HOBOKEN, NJ - The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office (HCPO) has released the name of a man who was found dead in a Hoboken apartment building.
The body of Marquise Davis, 26, of Willingboro, was discovered at 10:52 p.m. on Friday at 300 Grand Street with, "gunshot wound(s) to the upper body." He was pronounced dead on the scene, with the exact cause and conditions surrounding his death still under investigation by the HCPO.
Reports from neighbors within the building indicate that there was no discernable disturbance leading up to the discovery of the Davis' body. Multiple sources familiar with the building have stated to TAPinto Hoboken that 300 Grand has been host to a number of short-term rentals since a new property manager took over a few months ago. Complaints about the rentals have been made to the City of Hoboken, due to ongoing COVID restrictions.
Currently, there is no information available as to why or how the 26 year-old Burlington County man was in the Hoboken apartment. Anyone with any details on this incident is encouraged to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office at 201-915-1345, or via https://www.hudsoncountyprosecutorsofficenj.org/anonymous-tip/.
