HOBOKEN, NJ - Police are investigating an incident in which gun shots were fired along the western edge of town Thursday night.

Following up on a tip from social media, TAPinto Hoboken contacted Chief Ferrante for details.

"I can confirm that there were calls for shots fired last night 09/24/20 in the area of 4th and Jackson Street," said Ferrante. "The shots appeared to have occurred at about 10:30 PM."

Currently, there is no suspect, no motive, no further details.

"We believe the weapon that was used was a handgun," said Ferrante. "We have no report of anyone being shot at this time and the investigation is ongoing."
