HOBOKEN, NJ - With schools out, the importance of nutrition in the home becomes all the more critical. With the added socioeconomic pressures of the COVID-19 crisis, the Hoboken Family Alliance 2020 Summer Food Drive takes on even greater importance, as families look for ways to keep hunger off the growing list of concerns in our area.
Hoboken Family Alliance (HFA) is conducting a summer food drive from July through early September, to ensure that children in low-income areas in Hoboken continue to receive nutritious meals for dinner Monday through Friday—as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends.
HFA is looking for financial donations, and/or bulk food contributions. Among the list of items being distributed are Milk, Eggs, Lunchmeat/Protein, Fruit, Whole Grain Cereal, Pancake Mix, Oatmeal or Grits, Peanut Butter/Almond butter/Nut-Free Spread, Jam, Canned Fruit, Juice, Granola Bars, Soup, Pasta and more.
