HUDSON COUNTY, NJ -The Hudson County Improvement Authority has launched an online order form for county residents to purchase compost bins and rain barrels. Each of these items are $40 and will be delivered directly to resident’s doorsteps.
The effort is part of the HCIA’s commitment to build a more sustainable and environmentally friendly Hudson County, officials said.
“The Hudson County Improvement Authority is committed to providing our community with the resources they need to live a green lifestyle,” said HCIA CEO Norman Guerra. “While the COVID-19 pandemic has limited in person interactions and events, we’ve made the decision to bring
rain barrels and compost bins directly to doorsteps so residents can keep their properties clear of water waste and begin composting in their own yards just in time for summer.”
Residents interested in purchasing a compost bin or rain barrel can fill out the online order form here. Once payment is collected, a representative from the HCIA will contact you to arrange a contactless delivery.
