HOBOKEN, NJ - Four men were arrested in Hoboken after police discovered the vehicle they were driving had been stolen in Newark. Two of those men were subsequently charged for drug violations.
Just before 5:00 p.m. on July 17, Officer Harold Milne's Automated License Plate Reader indicated a stolen vehicle, which was unoccupied and parked in the area of 3rd and Sinatra Drive. Officer Milne notified headquarters and confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Newark. The following detectives responded to investigate: Detective Sergeant Josue Velez, Det. Michael Losurdo, Det. Fabien Quinones, Det. Connor Milne, and Det. David DiMartino. Soon after, four males were arrested for receiving stolen property.
Naeem Jackson, 21, Orange, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Conspiracy. Taheem Jackson, 22, East Orange, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Conspiracy—he also had a warrant out of Newark. Jaden Jackson, 18, Newark was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Conspiracy—and was additionally charged with Possession of CDS Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Micah James, 20, Somerset, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Conspiracy. Micah was found to be in possession of control dangerous substance believed to be Marijuana and a scale. As a result Micah was additionally charged with Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana within 500 feet of a park, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All four defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
