HOBOKEN , NJ - A man was arrested after allegedly using a knife during an argument with another man on Bloomfield Street in Hoboken on Saturday.
At about 7:23 AM, Officer Domenick Allegretta and Officer Tyler Soto responded to the area of 201 Bloomfield Street to find a male yelling for help with a puncture wound to his left forearm and a laceration on top of his right wrist. The victim reported that he was walking with another man when an argument between them started, then escalated when the actor pulled out a knife and assaulted the victim with the knife. While the perpetrator had fled the scene, the victim was transported to Hoboken University Medical Center.
Detective Adam Colon and Detective Michael Losurdo investigated the incident, and by 7:36 p.m., Christopher Vasquez, 31, from Hoboken, was arrested at 300 Bloomfield Street and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of Weapon, Endangering an Inured Victim.
No knife was found in his possession, meanwhile Vasquez refused to be fingerprinted and photographed and therefore also charged with Refusal to Submit to Fingerprinting and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Vasquez had a warrant for Failure to Appear out of Hoboken Municipal Court and was also wanted out of New York, NY. For the out-of-state warrant, Vasquez was charged with Fugitive from Justice. All charges were placed on warrants, and he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
The defendant is innocent until proven guilty.
