HOBOKEN, NJ - A 30-year-old Hoboken woman was arrested earlier this month and charted with 15 counts of Burglary & Theft, following an investigation that spanned over a year.
On July 20, Nicole Brucato was picked up near 1401 Willow Avenue by Detective Adam Colon who had previously generated her arrest warrants for Burglary and Theft. Colon had conducted an investigation into package thefts that occurred in three buildings near 9th and Clinton Street and two residential buildings located in the area of 11th and Willow Avenue on June 25. As a result of these investigations, Det. Colon charged Brucato with five counts of Burglary and five counts of Theft. Brucato was charged with additional theft of packages and burglary from two incidents that occurred in 2019 in the area of 13th and Bloomfield Street.
Det. Connor Milne charged Brucato with Burglary and Theft in a case he was investigating that occurred on July 09, in the area of 9th and Clinton Street, plus a package theft that occurred on July 1, in the area of 12th and Hudson Street.
Det. Vito Gigante additioally charged Brucato with Burglary and Theft in six cases he was investigating, which occurred on the following dates in these locations: April 29, 2020 in the area of 11th and Willow Avenue; May 27, 2020 in the area of 12 and Willow Avenue; June 17, 2020, in the area of 12th and Washington Street; June 19, 2020, in the area of 13 and Washington Street; and June 20, 2020, in the area of 9th and Clinton Street.
Meanwhile, at the time of Brucato’s arrest, she was in possession of merchandise from a shoplifting at CVS that occurred on the day of her arrest. Brucato was also in possession of box cutters. As a result, Brucato was charged with Shoplifting and possession of a Burglar’s Tool.
All of Brucato’s charges were placed on warrants and she was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
