HOBOKEN, NJ - A collision between two vehicles on Hoboken's main thoroughfare Monday night resulted in the arrest of a 57-year-old man for Driving While Intoxicated.
Just after 9:15 on April 5th, Officer Anthony Rutkowski saw two vehicles in the middle of Washington Street near 3rd. One moving vehicle struck another unoccupied vehicle that was allegedly double-parked.
No one was seriously injured in the collision, but the vehicles reportedly sustained severe damage. As additional units responded to the scene, Officer Rutkowski determined that the driver of one of the vehicles, Jamal Butler, 57, of Philadelphia, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
After a preliminary investigation, Mr. Butler was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples/Chemical Testing.
