MIDDLETOWN, NJ: On Thursday, July 26, the Middletown Duck Donuts, at 1275 Rt. 35 North, provided more than 40 campers from Camp Jinka, a free summer day program offered by the David S. Zocchi Brain Tumor Center. The mission of Camp Jinka is to provide kids and teens whose lives have been impacted by a diagnosis of a brain tumor, the opportunity to have a positive and creative experience together, while encouraging expression and connection with others having a similar life experience.
Children attending Camp Jinka often have a parent or close loved one that is battling a brain tumor or has passed from one. Some are survivors themselves. The campers visiting Duck Donuts were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the operations, interactively learning how the donuts are made. Campers were able to see how the donuts are made from scratch and see them transform from a batter stage to a delicious warm ready to top delight! There were many laughs and smiles as the campers enjoyed an exclusive and delicious donut topping party and arts and crafts.
Duck Donuts considers its company to be a family, and encourages each store to invest in the organizations, foundations and people in their own community. The Middletown Duck Donuts is partnering with Camp Jinka as a way to further its relationship with the community and provide a unique experience for the campers.

About Duck Donuts
Duck Donuts was founded in 2006 by Russ DiGilio in Duck, North Carolina. His intention? To solve a family vacation problem: “Our family wanted a place to buy warm, delicious, made-to-order donuts, and when we couldn’t find one, we decided to start our own.” By 2011, Duck Donuts had expanded to four Outer Banks locations and the donut business was so successful that DiGilio was continuously approached about franchise opportunities by fans who begged for a Duck Donuts in their community. The first franchise opened in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 2013, and there are now 69 open franchise locations and more than 140 additional contracts in 23 states and two countries.
