COLTS NECK, N.J. - You can always tell when the Holidays are near when Colts Neck Township lights the Christmas Tree and the crowds gather to enjoy holiday festivities. The Township Committee was on hand for the events as well as many volunteers.
Colts Neck Dance & Performing Arts Academy had sixty competition company dancers perform. According to owner Sheri Ladley-Calamusa, "These dancers are instructed and choreographed by our CND staff. The dancers are given many opportunities to perform and improve their skills in different venues throughout the year. These include performances at the Brandywine adult care facility, regional and national dance competitions, attending Broadway master class workshops, and even performing in world renowned places such as Walt Disney World and Times Square."
There was excitement in the air and a festive atomosphere for all the guests and diginitaries, including the Township Committee of Colts Neck.
Said Mayor Russell Macnow, "The annual Colts Neck tree lighting is a step back in time to when communities came together during the holiday season and celebrated together. We look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come."
The Mayor then counted down the tree lighting together with the crowd and something very special happened towards the end of the video:
