Middletown, NJ – Starting Monday, March 8th, kids of all ages can enroll in an array of Middletown Arts Center summer arts camp experiences available from June 21st through August, 27th. Camps will be held in TWO spacious locations at the MAC complex and the MAC Annex located at the nearby Middletown Reformed Church's Education Building, where campers can design, perform and dance in safe, creative, indoor/outdoor environments. Covid-19 precautions will be followed including small class sizes and social distancing, temperature checks, indoor mask requirements, classroom medical-grade air purifier use and more. MAC camp goes beyond typical summer offerings with creative arts and STEAM-oriented programs, available the entire summer in half or full-day sessions, with per-week options. A supervised lunch period is included for children who sign up for both a morning and afternoon camp, creating a full day of creative fun (campers must bring a non-perishable boxed or bagged lunch). 

‘Club MAC’ offers busy parents Before and After Care during camp from 7:30 am until the start of the morning session and again in the afternoon from 3 to 6 pm. Registration is available online at www.middletownarts.org where a complete, downloadable brochure detailing all the programs is available. For those not ready for in-person camps, several Virtual Programs will also be added.

Whether it’s painting, drawing, performing, dancing or engineering, the MAC’s two locations have room for creative campers to flourish. At least 70 different weekly options include:

  • Performing Arts Academy, presenting four outdoor productions - Willy Wonka, Jr.; High School Musical 2, Jr.; Annie, Jr. and Singin' in the Rain, Jr. - as well as two Broadway Mashup Sessions.
  • Doodle Dude’s Camps, where fans of Fortnite, Pokéman, Star Wars and Superheroes will have a blast cartooning, painting and much more
  • Miss Fish’s Summer Art Adventures, run by legendary art educator, Miss Fish, stir the imagination and bring out the creative best in every child
  • KidzArt Camps exploring nature, cultures from around the world, new media and more
  • Snapology Camps, advancing STEAM programming and featuring Superstar LEGO® Builders Camp, Robot Challenge Camp, Science of Superpowers and Adventures with LEGO® Star Wars Camp
  • Tap Dance Camps for all ages and fun, Themed Dance Camps for kids ages 4-6
  • Hip Hop Foundation and Free-Style camps led by Chontelle Gladys
  • Princess Dance Parties and Music Sing-alongs for young campers

You do not need to be a Middletown resident to participate in MAC Camps. Discounted rates apply to MAC members. All memberships have been extended one year for existing members. 

The Middletown Arts Center is located at 36 Church Street in Middletown, NJ (next to the Middletown train station) and the MAC Annex (Middletown Reformed Church’s Education Building) is located at 121 Kings Highway in Middletown, NJ. Please note that Member and Non-Member rates relate to membership in the Middletown Township Cultural and Arts Council (MTCAC) The MTCAC is the non-profit 501c3 organization that operates the Middletown Arts Center. Membership is optional and benefits include discounted rates on classes, camps, and workshops.
