Booksigning and BODO (Buy one donate one to a hospital) Tara Geraghty, Inspirational public speaker, leadership development professional and author will be available to sign her new book during the networking; Making Cancer Fun -- only a mother who lived through the experience of a child surviving pediatric cancer could write that book. You can buy one and donated one to a hospital.

  • Keynote Speaker: Preferred Behavioral Health's Vice President, Mental Health Services, Tara Chalakani will speak about what 7 out of 10 of us have experienced and may not realize it: trauma.  Tara will provide insight and tips that we can all use in our daily work and family life. Tara will speak for around 10-15 minutes with the Q&A. You will find out something new about yourself and maybe understand family and co-workers better.  (Bio below)

Three minute speakers: 

  • Comfort Keeper's Director of Business Development Linda Sirico: in advance of June's national safety month Linda will speak with us for a few minutes providing important tips for safety in our work place and home. 
  • Ginna Turnamian, Owner of Hot & Soul Yoga in Middletown and Colts Neck, will speak with us for a few minutes about her Trauma Yoga certification course and how it's helping so many people live and work more productively and healthier. 
  • Donna Ongsiako, founder of Survivors of Violent Crimes is going to speak to us about her organization for a couple minutes and provide feedback for our group on her experience with helping others.

  About Tara Chalakani, LPC, NCC, ACS, RN Preferred Behavioral Health Group,Vice President, Mental Health Services for Youth and Families

Tara has a great passion for working with children and familiesof all ages, and ensuring that their needs are met through available behavioral health programs, education, and community resources. In addition, she greatly enjoys presenting toprofessionals and the public regarding wellness and other topics such as social media and trauma-informed care. Tara has served in leadership roles in the non-profit and for-profit sectors of behavioral health and has had a 25+ year career in healthcare. She has undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Psychology, a MS in Mental Health Counseling, and is a Doctoral Candidate in Psychology with a specialization in Behavioral Health Leadership. Tara is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Nurse, National Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and a fellow of LEAD NJ. She also has a psychotherapy practice in Monmouth County where she works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
