HOLMDEL, N.J. - Drummer Alex Silvergold releases his debut album I Believe A Change on March 1st.  A video teaser for the album featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the recording session can be viewed HERE.

Alex is a 19-year-old drummer from New Jersey with a unique style that combines his love of rock, R&B, neo-soul, and jazz.  Alex has recorded with guitar virtuosos Ray Suhy and Mike Roman and singer/songwriter Pamela Flores.  Alex has performed with drummer Carmine Appice and has played with music legends Andy Prado, Carmine Appice, Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan, Richie Kotzen, Adrian Forbes, and more.  Alex is currently studying Professional Music at the Berklee College of Music.

I Believe A Change is the culmination of Alex’s collaboration with Snarky Puppy guitarist Bob Lanzetti.  The album features four covers and an original composition by Lanzetti.  The album spans multiple genres, resulting in a unique and energizing blend of jazz, funk, fusion, rock, and soul.  Alex explains, “I Believe A Change is an album of music that I love.  The focus of this record is on the overall vibe rather than showcasing musical talent.  I was honored to have Bob Lanzetti join me to produce the record and bring it to life.  The tracks cover a lot of musical ground, from Sam Cooke’s soulful ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ to Bob Lanzetti’s fusion-based ‘Collapsible Pants.’  I’m really excited to share this with you all.”

I Believe A Change was produced by Bob Lanzetti and Alex Silvergold and was recorded at Lakehouse Recording Studios in Asbury Park, NJ. The album was recorded and mixed by Timmy Pannella, with additional engineering by David Korn and Matt Bodner and was mastered by Drew Lavyne.
