HOLMDEL, NJ - Holmdel area drivers, especially parents of Village School children who travel the road, bus drivers and drivers in general are due for roadway relief prior to the start of the school year.
Middletown Road, riddled with dangerous potholes for years, is set for a major refresh and enhanced safety starting Wednesday July 18th. It is an important improvement for the area as busses, cars and emergency services apparatus often cross lanes to avoid potholes.
According to the engineering department, on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, weather permitting, concrete curb and drainage construction will begin on Middletown Road between Newman Springs Road and the Bayonet Farm driveway.
The work is expected to take 2-3 weeks. Paving of the road will follow shortly afterwards, and an updated notice will be posted.
The road will be closed daily from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please follow posted detour.
