Holmdel School Board Approves Contract for Superintendent, $40.3 Million Bond Referendum Question and Appeal Waivers For Honors Classes


HOLMDEL, N.J. - The Holmdel Board of Education members present for the regular monthly meeting unanimously approved rescinding the existing three year agreement with Superintendent, Dr.  McGarry. All board members voted 'yes'. They replaced it with a new four year contract. . The meeting was chaired by Board Vice-President Peter Reddy in the Board Presidents absence.

The referendum question to improve the schools has also been approved and set for September 26th vote between 4-8PM. Public information is slated to be available on the website in the near future.  Check the website on or about August 1, 2017 for more information. In other news, the board:

  1. Approved two new Vice Principals to the Holmdel High School.
  2. Said that any parents/students who filed appeals for honors class will be included in honors classes with a completed waiver.
  3. Presented a new hornet logo and other new branding that is planned to replace what is currently utilized.
  4. Discussed policies and procedures for videotaping meetings.
