HOLMDEL, N.J. - It was the night for all the young actors to be 'off book' and prepare to begin the show to the whispers of 'break a leg'!
The One Act Play Festival, Directed by Joseph Clores and Robert Smith and presented by the Holmdel Theater Guild, was a hit. The location for Holmdel students to perform was also a natural fit. According to Actor and HHS Freshman Tiffany Kumar, "Being a part of Holmdel Theatre Group's One Acts, has been the best possible way I could have completed my freshman year. When I took that final bow onstage, surrounded by the positive energy of everyone involved in the plays, that I have grown to love, I knew that I had found a new home here at Holmdel High school. We will miss the graduating seniors who did such a great job!"
The One Act Play Festival lineup consisted of three one act plays:
- Freshman Dorm by Robert Smith
- When Bad Things Happen To Good Actors by Ian McWethy and Jason Pizzarello
- The Day The Internet Died by Ian McWethy and Jason Pizzarello
The Duncan Smith Theater is famous. Its namesake, Duncan Smith, was an incredibly talented student from Holmdel. The important story of the theaters historic beginnings is one which readers should become familiar. You can read more information about the Duncan Smith Theater at:
