HOLMDEL, N.J. - The Holmdel Touchdown Club Car Wash fundraiser kicked off on a sunny Sunday with about 50 student athletes - football players, cheerleaders and dancers.

They got together in their white and blues to make cars sparkling clean for ten bucks. Snacks and water were also available with the refreshment crew. Holmdel Football Coach Jeff Rainess was on hand, of course. He commented on the value of the event:

"The Car Wash is a fundraiser but really so much more than that. It is an opportunity for team building and for community building. Our football players, cheerleaders and dancers are working together as a cohesive group - reaching out to the community. These are moments of growth with an activity that brings them together." Rainess said.

Coach Rainess looks forward to a busy and successful fall football season with the hashtag #CHASEISON2018.

Dozens of cars made their way through one of the most detailed car washes they ever experienced for $10. It is not often that you can have your car washed by such an excited crew of dedicated athletes!

One of the first wins of the season was in the teamwork on Sunday morning at the Satz School in Holmdel
