June 9, 2017, HOLMDEL, NJ:  The Holmdel Village School 'rocked the house' last night at the 1st Annual Lip Sync Battle! This popular event,  which replaced the 4 year strong annual Village Idol, was a great success!

The Lip Sync Battle had two showing times; 5pm and 7pm. Both shows were packed with excited students and parents, who came out to watch their teachers and administration battle it out, as they performed, along with some of the Village's 3rd grade students, in ten different acts!

The Village School Principal Mr. Schillaci, wore multiple hats, the most memorable a candelabra hat, for his part as Lumiere.  "Schillaci and his Kitchen," sang and danced to the popular Beauty and the Beast tune 'Be our Guest'.

It went from Broadway tunes to Hip Hop, Pop and Rock and even Lady Gaga made an appearance! The audience voted via their smartphones, and in both the 5pm and 7pm shows, "The Gagas" ensemble was the winning act!

According to the Village Parent Student Association (PSA), over $7,000 was raised in total. "The money raised will go right back to the school, to further enrich the learning experience for Holmdel children," said Village PSA President, Danielle Imprevaduto.

Imprevaduto continues; "It's a wonderful event put on by the Village teachers and administration, and we truly thank all who supported this successful event."
