COLTS NECK, NJ: The sun was shining for the Annual (sold out every year) luncheon for the Colts Neck Business Association. The 11th annual luncheon was held on March 26, 2019, at Trump National Golf Club, located on Trump National Blvd. in Colts Neck.
The afternoon hosted nearly 300 guests and was full of energy and great business networking. Guests enjoyed cocktails, and a delicious lunch with impeccable service by the Club.
The 2019 special guest onsite signing autographs was Ted Baxter, former professional NFL player for the NY Jets, Chicago Bears and New England Patriots. Baxter is also an advisory board member for Trinity Financial, Sports & Entertainment Management Co., LLC.
The mission statement of the Colts Neck Business Association (CNBA) is: to be a dynamic regional organization striving to promote growth, prosperity, and quality of life for our members and community and to be the voice for entrepreneurs, representing, advocating and working to enhance the business environment in Colts Neck Township. That mission was in full throttle for the event as multiple introductions were made by CNBA members, welcoming new businesses and connecting them with longtime business owners and organizations. Special thanks was given to the following sponsors: A Country Flower Shoppe and More, Anna Mayer, EIPA, Brock Farms, CSAV Systems, Delicious Orchards, Fitzpatrick Printing Solutions, Folio Art Glass, Hackensack Meridian Health, Heritage House/Sotheby's International Realty, Holly Volpe Interior Design, Holmdel Funeral Home, Perkins Breakfast Club, Peter Grandich and Trinity Financial, Colts Neck Republican Club, Robert DeFalco Realty, Parish of St. Mary's CN, PBA, The Connections, Trump National Golf Course.
After guests entered the main dining room, the event began with a welcome from Colts Neck Business Association President, Glen Dalakian, "With the help of our sponsors and all of you, we made this CNBA Annual Business Luncheon a continued success and the premier business event in Monmouth County with almost 300 tickets sold this year!" Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden lead everyone in standing for the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a blessing of the food and the event, by Pastor Chris Durkin, of the Colts Neck Community Church.
The CNBA always honors the organization's foundation, those who came together to form the CNBA and those who built it to where it is today. The 2019 luncheon honored Mario Geneve, who along with Sal Barbagallo, both members of the Business Advisory Committee to the Township of Colts Neck, felt strongly that developing a separate business association would be more beneficial for local businesses. So in May 2008, after completing all the legal documents, Geneve and Barbagallo signed the incorporation papers and officially founded the CNBA.
Geneve, born in Brooklyn, NY is a US Army Veteran. He holds degrees of; Bachelor of Science; M.B.A.; Masters in Education, Masters in Educational Supervision and Administration. He worked in the insurance industry where he developed the Compensation Department for two prominent insurance companies. Geneve entered the teaching profession, eventually teaching at SUNY and Long Island University. At the same time he was teaching, he grew a thriving construction company.
