HOLMDEL, N.J. - Fine wine has long been known for its recommended pairings. Chardonnay with fresh halibut. Riesling and sushi, Syrah and roast pork. The list is as endless as your imagination and palate. Well, we have all come a long way as entrepreneurial foresight takes center stage at award winning Fox Hollow Vineyards in Holmdel.
A pairing recommendation is now on an entirely new and interesting level at Fox Hollow Vineyards. They are introducing 'Yoga in the Vineyard', with esteemed Holmdel Yoga Instructor Lisa Horan-Sockol.
This special evening class is slated for Thursday, August 24 from 6 to 8 pm at Fox Hollow Vineyards, 939 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733
Yoga and an open-air vineyard setting form the perfect complement in a special session planned at the the one-hour yoga session and is only $5 a person and open to everyone. After the session, students will be invited to sample the wide variety of wines offered by the award-winning Fox Hollow Vineyards, who takes pride in the following:
- 2014 Cabernet Franc recently received a Gold Medal from the Garden State Wine Growers Association
- Three Silver Medals for its 2015 Barrel-aged Chardonnay, its 2015 Riesling, and its 2014 Field Master Blend and
- a Bronze Medal for its 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Lisa Horan Sockol, MEd/Counseling, CYT 200+ Instructor, and instructor of the Monmouth Beach Yoga and Wellness will lead a unique and creative yoga sequence that incorporates gentle movement (asana) and breath (pranayama) to achieve greater flexibility and inner peace. Students will experience multiple poses to build strength, stamina, and focus.
“The session is for students of all levels and interest,” says Horan Sockol. “What better way to experience the restorative qualities of yoga then to be completely surrounded in the beautiful abundance of a secluded farm and vineyard.”
