#Oars In! Holmdel's Touchdown Club Fundraiser at Hazlet ShopRite a Great Success

HOLMDEL, N.J. - On Wednesday, July 12, nearly one hundred Holmdel High School (HHS) students from the football, cheer and dance teams volunteered for various shifts between 1pm-6pm, to bag groceries at the Hazlet ShopRite. Tip jars were generously filled throughout the day, and the energetic volunteers brought smiles to many ShopRite customers.

Many of the Holmdel players wore Holmdel blue t-shirts with the hashtag "#Oars In" printed across the back. HHS Varsity Football Coach Jeff Rainess comments, "Today's successful fundraiser for Holmdel's Touchdown Club is an example of our slogan #Oars In - in order for there to be success, we need everyone and I mean everyone; players, parents, coaches, administration...all facing forward all with their oars in together, rowing that boat. Today we saw that happen. Teamwork, that is how we achieve success. Thank you to everyone who volunteered today for our teams."

The funds raised will be used to offset costs for uniforms and meals and refreshments for the Holmdel football, cheer and dance teams. Stay tuned for the Holmdel Touchdown Club's next fundraiser.
