RUMSON, NJ: On Thursday, January 30, 2020 there will be a Rally for the Navesink Meeting to discuss the latest water quality results from the Navesink River, as well as “Seals of Sandy Hook” with Save Coastal Wildlife.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
Citizens are urged to attend to learn about the health of their local waterway and discover ways they can help reach the Rally for the Navesink’s mission to restore the Navesink, as well as protect the Shrewsbury River.

Seals of Sandy Hook Bay
How much do you know about our annual winter visitors? Learn more about the seals that can be spotted in the area this time of year. Joe Reynolds of Save Coastal Wildlife will be sharing his extensive seal knowledge and discussing their continuing monitoring efforts.
- Navesink River Water Quality Update
Volunteer citizen scientists have collected over 1,000 water quality samples in 2019! Hear an overview of the results from Dr. Swarna Muthukrishnan, Clean Ocean Action’s Staff Scientist, as well as plans to continue finding and fixing sources of “poo-llution” in 2020.
