HOLMDEL (November 1, 2019) – Mrs. Rebecca Fittipaldi recently joined the Village School administration in the newly created position of Supervisor of P-3 Instruction. Fittipaldi brings a strong curriculum and instruction background in early childhood education to the students and staff at Village School.
She comes to Holmdel from the Highland Park Schools where she was twice recognized as Teacher of the Year as a 1st grade teacher before being promoted to the position of Supervisor of Humanities. Fittipaldi’s expertise in teaching led her to be pilot teacher for the National Institute for Early Education Research. She appears in several training videos related to research on effective classroom practices.
Mrs. Fittipaldi joined the district in late September. “My first few weeks in Holmdel have been everything I had hoped they would be. It’s evident that I am surrounded by teachers, support staff and administrators that truly care about their students. I am honored and excited to be a part of a school community that is innovative and hold themselves and our students to high levels of academic, social and developmental success,” said Fittipaldi. She has hit the ground running, participating in several district committees.
“Mrs. Fittipaldi’s expertise in the leadership of early childhood education is a tremendous asset to our district as we implement our new Full Day Kindergarten program,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert McGarry. “Village School already provides a superior foundation for our district’s learners and Mrs. Fittipaldi’s expertise in Preschool through Grade three curriculum and instruction is certain to enhance our efforts in these important years of a child’s education,” he added.
