THREE BRIDGES, N.J. — Operation Horse [Spring Reins of Life 501c3] is currently recruiting Veterans to participate in a group equine mental health intervention aimed at treating trauma and the impacts of military service.

Groups will consist of six participants, meeting weekly for eight weeks. Each session is for 90 minutes. The next group begins May 7. These services are being provided by the VA Adaptive Sports Grant which was awarded to Eagala and is being administered through Eagala’s Military Services partner organizations. There is no cost to U.S. Veterans and Service Members.

A new group will begin every eight weeks.

SRoL has served more than 700 Veterans since 2012.

Starting in 2019, SRoL is representing New Jersey in a nationwide endeavor funded by the VA (Adaptive Sports Therapy Grant) which was awarded to Eagala to distribute among the Military Services Provider certified programs. This is unprecedented and after many years of presenting and demonstrating that horses can heal and save lives. Now that the VA is giving the horses a chance to help with the veteran suicide epidemic we are able to offer weekly groups with pre and post assessments.
