HOLMDEL & COLTS NECK:  The Christmas trees and Menorah candles are lit, as Holmdel and Colts Neck set the scene for the Holiday Season.

Colts Neck gathered last Saturday, with the Mayor JP Bartolomeo and the Deputy Mayor Tommy Orgo leading the town in singing Christmas carols while the jazz quartet played.  In spite of the cold and rain, the show went on with everyone enjoying the entertainment by the talented performers from Colts Neck Dance and Performing Arts.

Special guest Santa Claus joined the event arriving by Firetruck. After the tree lighting, the crowd moved inside the courthouse where everyone enjoyed hot chocolate and one on one time with Santa. Earlier this week the Colts Neck Menorah was lit by Rabbi Galperin with Mayor Bartolomeo, Committeeman Russel Macnow and Committeeman Michael Viola.

Holmdel lit their Christmas Tree and Menorah on Wednesday evening as the crowd gathered to enjoy lovely singing by the Girl Scouts and Brownies.

Special guests Elsa and Olaf joined the fun with a couple of Santa's elves. Hot chocolate was served and Santa Claus arrived just in time to pass out the candy canes to all of the good children and adults. Santa is making his way around Holmdel by way of Firetruck, visiting every neighborhood in Holmdel between December 8th through the 15th. See details below.

These are the latest plans to share from Santa's helper Jason Dulow:

HOLMDEL RESIDENTS!!! Here is the news you have all been waiting for!!! The big man is coming back to town!!! Holmdel Fire & Rescue Company #2 will once again have the honor of driving Santa Claus around town to visit all the little boys and girls of Holmdel (and the grown-ups too)!

THE SCHEDULE IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THIS YEAR SO PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY!!!

On December 8th from noon to 8pm Santa will be in zones 1, 2 and 3. On December 15th from noon to 8pm Santa will be in zones 4, 5, 6 and 7. We have reserved December 22nd as a rain/makeup date if necessary.

I have included a map of what zones I am referring to. These ARE NOT your recycling zones, leaf pick up zones, voting districts etc. LOOK AT THE MAPS included with the photos in this article. The Garden State Parkway is the dividing line.

As I mentioned before, we are a 100% volunteer organization and are doing this to bring happiness and joy to our residents during the holiday season while at the same time taking time away from our families, so please keep that in mind if for some reason you weren't home when we came down your street or you missed us for some other reason. We will do our best to hit everyone!!!
