HOLMDEL, N.J. - It was a bitterly cold day on Veteran's Day 2017. However, the warmth of deserved recognition broke through as Holmdel Township honored all Veterans who served the USA - those who are still with us and those who have gone before us.
The location was Holmdel's Veteran's Memorial Park, which was preserved as such by a prior Township Committee. This location was used for military housing in the past and was part of the Nations Nike Missile defense system system. More on that can be found here: http://alpha.fdu.edu/~bender/NY54.html
Memorial Wreaths were presented by:
- the Holmdel Township Committee,
- The Kiwanis Club,
- The Girls Scouts,
- The Holmdel First Aid Squad and,
- The Holmdel Half Century Club
