Monmouth County's First Minor League Soccer Team

RED BANK, N.J.  - This weekend will be very exciting one for area fans of soccer. The action is taking place on Saturday as the new minor league soccer club, FC Monmouth, brings ''The Beautiful Game" to Red Bank's Count Basie Park for its home opener Saturday, May 26th at 6pm. FC Monmouth will host Atlantic City FC, one of eight (8) other teams from NJ and PA in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Keystone Conference. According to a release:

FC Monmouth's mission is to connect, entertain, and inspire Monmouth County with a young, exciting team. More than a third of the roster is comprised of players from the immediate area, including Red Bank, Spring Lake, Manalapan, Freehold, Middletown, Howell, and Monmouth University. FC Monmouth's ownership group is also local, including John Kiely of Kiely  Family of Companies, Simon Nynens of Wayside Technology and Corbett Donato of The Donato Group.

The club has also launched the FC Monmouth Podcast hosted by play-by-play announcer Matt DeLuca, with co-hosts Mitch Zapcic, and Joey Di Camillo. Recorded at A Shared Universe PodcaStudio in Eatontown, The FC Monmouth Podcast features news, analysis, interviews. and exclusive content The podcast is available on all platforms including iTunes and SoundCloud.

FC Monmouth is working with local businesses and non-profits to extend the experience beyond the game and give back to the community. Major sponsors include SMK Workforce Solutions, UAS  Asset Management, Professional Orthopedic Associates, Elite Sports Physical Therapy and Food Circus Supermarkets. Clean Ocean Action and Family and Children's Services are among the local community and charitable organizations that will be part of the game day experience.

Adult tickets ,are $8. and children under 12 are $5, with season ticket and special Founding Member packages available as well.  FC Monmouth is always looking for volunteers who want to be involved and help grow the culture of the club.
