Willy Wonka in Holmdel: St. Catharine's CYO Hosts Pasta Dinner with a Chocolate Fountain

HOLMDEL, N.J - Willy Wonka made a surprise visit to Saint Catherine's RC Church for the Christian Youth Organization sponsored Pasta Dinner held recently. Guests who attended came into a warm greeting as they mingled about with their neighbors and friends in the Father Sheg Center (which was the original church). The tables were set up nicely with a nod to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The purple gloved Willy Wonka had a presence at each table.

Fresh salad and rolls got everyone started and then out came the pasta and meatballs.

The servers (who were also the greeters and cleaning crew) took the orders for each table. Pasta done just the way you like. Many were not in their seats however as the face painting table was very busy as well as various crafts for the children.

There was a DJ who played many of the favorites as adults and children of all ages danced away. One particularly lovely couple really stole the show. You can see their video right here:

After the dinner, there was dessert. Of course, this is Willy Wonka hosting so the chocolate fountain poured warmly on pretzels and marshmallows and all sorts of nice treats. The gracious CYO students made sure everyone had something for their sweet tooth.

The CYO is a strong and vibrant organization of young adults of Saint Catharine's parish. It was a professional display of restaurant talent who served up a Pasta Dinner for the crowd at the Father Sheg Center at Saint Catharine's Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel.
