Holmdel Advances Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and T.V. Inspection

HOLMDEL, N.J. - Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and TV Inspection

The Township of Holmdel has awarded a contract to North American Pipe Cleaning to clean and TV approximately 181,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer in the township.

On or about Monday, October 16, 2017, weather permitting, North American Pipe Cleaning is schedule to begin. Although the entire project will take approximately three (3) months, the Contractor’s operation will only take a few days in each neighborhood. The contractor as advised that they will begin in the Village Grand Development on or about October 16th and after which they will be continuing with the Fremont Lane, Wingate Terrace, Dearborn Drive, Peach Tree Lane, and Apple Grove Road Areas.

The roads will be open to all traffic and you will have access to your homes during the cleaning and operation. During the operation the contractor will have two (2) trucks a Vac Truck and a Camera Truck. These trucks will be parked adjacent to a manhole. The Vac Truck will first use a hose with a jet nozzle to flush the sewer to the downstream manhole after the line is cleaned a TV camera will be placed into the manhole so that the condition of the pipe can be observed. Once that segment is complete the contractor will move to the next manhole.
