Holmdel Recreation Needs Assessment


HOLMDEL, N.J. - March 16, 2018 On March 13 th  the Recreation Needs Assessment Township Committee Meeting. Township  wide survey, public open houses,  report was presented by T & M Associates at  This report, which has been  and stakeholder a culmination of data gathering, a  the interviews, can be found on the Township website, Mayor Tom Critelli , thanked all of the volunteers, stakeholders and residents, who participated in this endeavor. “On behalf of the Township Committee, I would like to thank  our Ad-Hoc Committee for their dedication over the past 9 months in developing the survey and providing valuable input to this process. To all members of our Recreation Advisory Committee, we thank you .  for  your  involvement in this process, especially all the information you provided regarding the organizations that you represent.” As a result of the public comments and questions that were raised during the March 13th Township Committee Meeting, we will be requesting t he Ad-Hoc Committee have directed T&M Associates to schedule additional meetings  continue their participation .  We  and to engage with the Ad-Hoc Committee to further refine the findings and recommendations and aid in finalizing the report. Mayor Critelli went on to say,  “The needs assessment will be one of the tools that we will utilize over the upcoming years, as we develop a plan to better maintain, improve and enhance the recreational and leisure needs of the community. I know the entire Township Committee is looking forward to working with the many user groups as we make long term plans to better serve the recreational needs of all  residents, from our children to our seniors .” Listed below are all the organizations that participated: Holmdel Board of Education Holmdel Youth Athletic Association Swim  (HYAA) and Tennis Center Visual Arts Holmdel Football Association Holmdel Football Club Mavericks Lacrosse Holmdel Half Century Club Holmdel Theater Company s  (Residents Rep)  (Resident Representative) Department of Recreation Department of Public Works
