Matthew C. Reed, 59, of Marlboro passed away on Monday March 26, at his home.

Matthew C. Reed, 59, of Marlboro passed away on Monday March 26, at his home.

Matthew was born in Trenton; he graduated with a master’s degree from Rider University and was a CPA in corporate accounting for Marsh & McLennan for 27 years.

He loved spending time with his family, from catching a show at a theater, experiencing new restaurants, travels around the globe, and watching sports matches (especially soccer). He took pride in his vegetable garden and enjoyed being a referee for soccer games. Matthew was passionate about everything he did, thoughtful, charismatic, kind and witty. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, uncle and friend. He will be missed by many.

Matthew is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Doris Reed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Reed, Marlboro; his children, Nicholas Reed, Mackenzie Cooledge and her husband, Michael, and Madison Reed; his siblings, Joanne Lebowitz, Elizabeth Reed, Catherine Bentzley, Daniel Reed, and Bartholomew Reed; his grandchildren, Caleb and Lucas Cooledge; his mother and father in law, Walter and Bernadette Bertero, and many loving nieces and nephews.
