HOLMDEL, NJ: "Find Your Wings, Do WOW Things" is this year's theme for the Girl Scouts Cookie Sale and Holmdel Girl Scouts are off to an amazing start doing WOW things with their sales!  Final numbers show that over 21,000 boxes of cookies were sold in pre-orders netting the troops over $15,000 in funds to support their programming and trips.

On Wednesday, February 26th, 1422 CASES of cookies were delivered to the Holmdel Community Center, unloaded and sorted by about 10 volunteer leaders and family members, then loaded into cars for distribution to the girls.  The girls will now be delivering cookies to their customers. Thank you to our residents for their all their purchases!  In addition, girls had digital (online) cookie sales with orders that will be delivered directly to their customers' homes.  Digital sales is a safe and secure way for the Scouts to learn to run an online sales platform.

Now the Scouts will be moving into their booth sales phase learning marketing, finance, inventory control and as always, honing their leadership skills.  You will see tables set up around town so please visit them!  Among other locations, Scout tables will be at the Bell Works Fresh Market every Wednesday (generally after school hours until 6 pm) now through May 6th.  A new cookie was launched this year: Lemon-Ups which have inspiring words on them chosen by a team of Girl Scouts.  Give them a try!

Holmdel leaders thank the Holmdel Recreation Department and the DPW for their early morning assistance with the logistics on delivery day.  As always, much thanks to the Girl Scout volunteers who move all those cases, completing the whole process in 3.5 hours!
