HOLMDEL, NJ:  Abbey Quirk and Dan Tempone were selected as the female and male recipients of Holmdel High School, for the Shore Conference Sportsmanship Award.  They were nominated by their coaches and selected by Holmdel High School’s Athletic Director and Principal. 

Both Quirk and Tempone are seniors at Holmdel High School and over the years have been recognized in numerous ways for their athletic and academic achievements as well as leadership skills.  So many, it can be hard to keep track... but here are a couple more examples among many:

On February 3, 2019 Abbey represented Holmdel High School at the National Girls & Women in Sports Day celebration at Seton Hall.

In December 2018 Dan Tempone was honored for Special Teams Touchdown of the Year (Jersey Sports Zone)

At Holmdel High School’s Fall Sports Awards ceremony, Abbey was presented with the Victory with Honor Award for Field Hockey.  This award recongnized her for consistently demonstrating honor towards others and outstanding character on and off the athletic field.  (photo #3 attached)

Tempone a standout football player was chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship from New Jersey American Youth Football. He was one of 8 recipients of this scholarship. 

Abbey played varsity field hockey and softball all four years of high school and was selected as one of the Senior Team Captains this year for each sport. 

This just in on Dan Tempone: It was just announced that Dan Tempone made First Team All Division for another sport he excels in; Boys Varsity Lacrosse. 

Abbey is also President of Holmdel’s National Honor Society.
