HOLMDEL, NJ - The brisk air heralds more than a break from the summer heat as a new school year is about to begin in Holmdel. With the Vision 2020 referendum construction moving along at a quick pace and the start of the school year around the bend, change is in the air.
For many students, it's the beginning of school as they enter Kindergarten. For others, they are moving to a new school as they grow older. According to news from the district, informal visits to assist in the transition are available in about a week.
Typically, a more formal open house event is planned for each school prior to the new year. The difference of late is a result of the construction ongoing in many areas of the district. The schools decided that they needed to take a different approach by offering an informal visiting program for any interested families.
Tuesday afternoon, September 3rd, the school Principals will open the buildings from 4:00-6:00PM for informal visiting. For safety reasons, an adult must accompany students visiting Village, Indian Hill or William R. Satz.
