HOLMDEL (July 25, 2019) – Anyone who has driven past any one of Holmdel’s schools this summer has probably noticed that an extensive amount of construction and renovation work is taking place across the district. This is all part of the Holmdel 2020 Initiative, an ambitious set of projects approved by voters in September, 2017.

Expanded parking lots, renovated classrooms and locker rooms, a new high school wing dedicated to Engineering, an expanded dining area for middle school students as well as playing fields, tennis and basketball courts and a K-3 STEAM Lab are some of the pieces of the full Holmdel 2020 puzzle the district initiated this summer. Other projects, such as extensive renovations toScience labs at William R. Satz and a new entranceway to Holmdel High School will take place during the summer of 2020.

At the upcoming Board Meeting, the district will provide the public with a mid-summer update on the projects currently underway. The meeting is scheduled for July 31, 2019 at theBoard of Education’s new meeting start time of 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the William R. Satz School.
