HOLMDEL (April 4, 2020): While schools are closed and programs cancelled, the Holmdel Township Schools is offering a “virtual” open house for its new, five-day-a-week Preschool Program.

The district has offered a half day integrated preschool program for three and four year olds who are residents of Holmdel for many years but for the first time in 2020-2021 the program will operate five days a week.

The program follows the highly regarded Tools of the Mindcurriculum and is designed to bring preschoolers, with and without special needs, together in an integrated environment. Research has shown that all students benefit from this type of program. Enrollment is now open to a limited number of preschool students without special needs for the coming school year.

In addition to the tuition based half day program, a “wrap around” program will also be offered to families seeking to provide a full-day experience.

“It is incredibly rewarding to be able to offer parents the kind of program that they’ve asked the district to put in place and even more rewarding to know that the program we are building will provide our youngest learners an even stronger foundation for their education than our former program did,” Superintendent Dr. Robert McGarry said.

Information about the program and registration for the new school year can be found on the district’s website.
