Dear Holmdel Residents,
I am writing to encourage your support in the upcoming Republican Primary for Vicky Flynn and DJ Luccarelli, who are ready, willing and able to volunteer their time to serve our community as members of the Holmdel Township Committee.
Vicky is a passionate public servant -- she dedicates an enormous amount of time volunteering for our community as the President of the Board of Education. She always places Holmdel families first. Under her leadership, board members and the public share a collaborative and transparent relationship to be well-informed on the education of Holmdel's children and fiscal stewardship of our important financial resources.
I know many of us on the Board understand what a tremendous loss it will be for the Board to lose Vicky as one of our members. However, I believe the Township Committee needs her leadership skills. I frequently attend Holmdel Township Committee meetings. For the last few years, the Township Committee has been distracted on personal and political agendas, as opposed to policy matters that would improve our community. Working side by side with Vicky on the Board of Education, I know the operations of the Township will improve when Vicky is elected.
I also believe that the thoughtful demeanor of DJ Luccarelli is needed to move our Township forward. His historical, generational knowledge of his hometown will benefit us. In all of my interactions with DJ, he has been a consummate professional. During these trying times his successful experience as a small business owner in Holmdel will be invaluable. Furthermore, anyone who has attended a Holmdel Zoning Board meeting knows that he is an excellent problem solver who listens well and leads when necessary.
Our Township would benefit from DJ's strong financial background, coupled with his commitment to serve the Holmdel community he grew up in.
When you receive your ballot in the mail, I would ask you to please cast a vote on July 7, 2020 for Vicky Flynn and DJ Luccarelli for Holmdel Township Committee.
This letter is written in my capacity as a private citizen and not in my capacity as a member of the Holmdel Board of Education.
