Legislators ask Monmouth residents to donate new toys for needy children.
OCEAN TOWNSHIP - This holiday season, Monmouth County residents can help bring joy to a child in need by donating new and unwrapped toys through the office of Senator Vin Gopal and Assembly Members Houghtaling and Downey in Ocean Township
Toys can be dropped off on weekdays from 8 AM to 7 PM at the legislators’ Ocean Township office, located at 802 W Park Ave, Suite 221. All gifts are accepted, but donations of books, toiletries, and cosmetics are also encouraged.
“Too many children across Monmouth County come from families who can’t afford to buy a used stuffed animal, let alone the newest toy,” said Gopal (D-Long Branch). “We want this to be an opportunity to give every child the holiday joy that they deserve.”
“Toys can spark a child’s imagination, and teach them valuable creative and social skills that can last a lifetime,” said Downey (D-Freehold).
“With your donation, you can help give a local child a magical holiday season that they will never forget,” said Houghtaling (D-Neptune)
