MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ: Kick Cancer Overboard is continuously giving, so during the Season of Giving, Kick Cancer Overboard gives-BIG! On Sunday, December 29, at 7pm, Long Branch based not-for-profit organization Kick Cancer Overboard hosted their 6th Annual Holiday Fundraiser, in collaboration with Rockit Live Foundation. The event surprised 5 local families affected by Cancer with free cruises to Bermuda, on Norwegian Cruise Line's brand new Encore.
The event took place at the Palazzo at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean Township, and drew a very supportive and generous crowd of well over 300 people.
Kick Cancer Overboard's mission is to give FREE CRUISES to people, who have been affected by cancer. To offer them a break for a few days, so the most important question is not how to pay for their next medical bill, but whether to play bingo, get a massage or sing Karaoke.
The Rockit Live Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization where young musicians ages 8 to college level join in a premier rock ’n’ roll band experience at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. Students audition, learn a specific repertoire of songs supplemented with private instruction, and perform live on the ultimate concert stage.
