MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ: On July 13th, various board and committee members of The Monmouth Park Charity Fund (MPCF) gathered at the Tinton Falls location of The Arc of Monmouth County, to present The Arc with the inaugural Winner's Circle Society grant. The Winner's Circle Society (WCS) consists of MPCF supporters who are individual donors, focused on choosing a specific charity from transformational grant applications.  WCS, member contributions fund the grant, and each member is involved in casting one vote for the grant recipient of their choice.

This year's grant award of $13,750 will benefit the launch of a new sensory room for use by 125-150 adults with autism, Down syndrome, or other intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).  President of the Monmouth Park Charity Fund, Maureen Loyd, commented, "MPCF has distributed nearly $10 million in grants to local charities since its inception in 1947. Our Winner's Circle Society mission is to provide an annual transformational grant that will positively enhance the lives of individuals the awarded charity serves, and their organizational structure.  The Arc of Monmouth County's proposed sensory room is perfectly aligned with our goals for the grant. We are all deeply humbled and excited to be a part of launching such an impactful program."  The sensory room will be installed at Arc's Green Grove Achievement Center, which specializes in caring for adults dually diagnosed with a developmental disability and a mental health diagnosis. All five Arc of Monmouth County programs will have access to use of the sensory room.

"We are grateful to the Monmouth Park Charity Fund and the Winners Circle Society members for their support of the Arc's mission and our served individuals. The sensory room will provide a new environment for continued learning, "says Robert Angel, Executive Director at The Arc of Monmouth.  VIDEO: Executive Director of The Arc of Monmouth County, Robert Angel thanking MPCF:
