HOLMDEL, N.J. - There are hotels and then there are hotels from Somerset President Ralph Zucker and the #METROBURB at Bell Works.

At their Tuesday meeting, the Holmdel Planning Board conditionally approved the application to build a hotel at Bell Works.

Were it not a hotel, you may confuse it with a rooftop amenity.

It is a unique hotel in that it is not on an adjacent area of the site, or perhaps a multi-floor tenant. The design team collaborated on an approach that minimized the footprint and protected the history and aesthetics of the site. Essentially, they took their time to produce an evolved design.

The entire hotel is one floor and wrapped around the top of the building in an unobtrusive way so that it does not interfere with the solar panel structure. The design offers a sense that the hotel has always been  there.

It is expected to be comprised of 200 rooms. TAPinto Holmdel and Colts Neck interviewed Township Committeeman Eric Hinds to get an overall update on Bell Works, the financial benefits to the town and much more. "If anyone has any questions on Bell Works, they should feel free to call or text me at 732-687-8316." said Hinds
