HOLMDEL, NJ: Sweet, healthy Vienna Carly Savino, was only 2 and a half years old when she fell asleep while watching TV at home in Holmdel, NJ, on November 12, 2017, and tragically never woke up. Today, sadly marks three years since Dr. Denise Wunderler and her husband, Dr. Michael Savino began the unimaginable, most painful journey, of a bereaved parent.

Vienna's death was categorized as Sudden Unexplained Death in Children (SUDC).

SUDC is the category of death designated in kids 1-18 years old, when there’s no explanation after a thorough investigation, including an autopsy. Even Vienna’s genetic studies did not reveal a cause, as part of a research study. Shockingly, SUDC is scarcely known in the medical community or the public, and there is very little SUDC research currently. To date, there has been no public funding for this. Vienna's mommy, Dr. Denise Wunderler is on a mission to raise awareness and provide funding for research to find the cause of SUDC with the hope to save other families from the devastation of their child dying by SUDC.
