HOLMDEL, NJ - Holmdel Police Department and First Aid responded to an automobile crash on April 7th at approximately 10:00 a.m. Two individuals remain hospitalized following the crash involving four vehicles on Route 35 and Laurel Avenue. 

Reports indicate that a vehicle traveling north on Route 35, went through a red light and struck a vehicle traveling on Laurel Avenue. The vehicle struck then hit a parked vehicle in the Valley National Bank parking lot. 

Two passengers were extricated from their vehicle. A call for a Medevac was needed for the driver of the first car that was hit, and the passenger in that car was transported by ambulance to Jersey Shore Medical Center. According to reports from Holmdel Police, both individuals are currently listed in stable condition.

The accident closed Route 35 from Centerville Road to Harmony, and northbound from Palmer Avenue. Traffic was detoured for almost 4 hours.
