MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Middletown Fire Department was dispatched to what could have been a devastating situation. A fire was reported with flames showing in a 2-story apartment complex at McGuires Grove Building 10 on Route 35. 

The initial call was after 8pm. By approximately 8:30, the fast action by the department resulted in cancellation of additional services and a report that the fire was knocked down.
