LINCROFT, NJ: Last weekend, the Church of Saint Leo the Great, hosted Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan Purse.

Their mission statement is "Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ."

Saint Leo the Great and their cohort parishes; Saint James, Holy Cross and Church of Nativity filled 127 boxes with collected items and handwritten, heartfelt prayer cards!  Catholic Youth Ministry Director for Saint Leo the Great, Joan Kret comments, "Today was really great! There were 127 smiles packaged by teens for 127 children they will never meet. The children receiving these boxes, will be reminded of how much Jesus loves them, because of the information that Samaritan Purse also includes in each of the boxes."  You can see all the great pictures HERE from the Operation Christmas Child event.   All photos are published with permission.
