MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ:  On March 13th, from 10:00 am-1:00pm, the Social Community Activities Network (SCAN), the largest nonprofit group providing educational and social programs for adults ages 50 and over, in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, hosted a free informational session.

The program titled Home Sweet Home covered ' Information for Everything You Need to Know About Aging Safely in Your Own Home'.  SCAN Board President Jim Winn commented, "Home Sweet Home Event is a great opportunity to explore the resources that are available for the over 50 community."

The event was held in the community room at the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, located in the lower level near entrance three by Lens Crafters.

The keynote presenter for the day's event was Stephanie Hunsinger, AARP's NJ State Director.  Hunsinger spoke about:

1) What is a livable community? and

2) Creating Communities for people of all ages.
