SHREWSBURY, NJ: On Thursday, October 25, 7:00 pm-11:00 pm, as a full moon lit the sky, two hundred women, mainly Holmdel moms, enjoyed an exciting night together inside. The event held at the Shadowbrook, celebrated the annual Village School Ladies Night Out. This year's theme was Mardi Gras! The fundraiser event is to raise money to offset costs for teaching and learning expenses for Holmdel children. The event included cocktails, a sushi bar, hors d'oeuvres and a delicious dinner buffet, a 50/50 raffle, 165 silent auction baskets, and 3 luxury raffle prizes that included 2 Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM Bags and a Valentino cross body shoulder bag.
The music was pumping and the dance floor was packed as local entertainer and Holmdel Dad, Mel Housten from Incredible Soundz DJ'd the event. Parent Student Association (PSA) President Juliann DeMatteo commented, “Tonight’s tremendous success is due to all of the wonderful committee members who worked so hard to make this night amazing. There are so many to thank including all of the previous PSA boards who paved the way for tonight's success. We are very thankful to all of our generous sponsors who donated so many auction items. Please support the local businesses who supported us tonight. The community support is outstanding for our Village School and we are so thankful. As we always say, ‘it takes a village’. What a fun night!"
The ladies partied into the night keeping the dance floor packed until the end of the event. Then many could be seen juggling multiple auction gift baskets they had won as they walked to their cars. There was a lot of laughter in the parking lot as guests were leaving, all women had one thing in common for sure; supporting Holmdel's children.
