Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce Honors Outstanding Community Leaders at Beacon of Excellence

On the evening of July 17th, the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) held its annual Beacon of Excellence Awards at the Addison Park Banquet Center in Aberdeen, NJ. MRCC  honored nine outstanding community leaders at an event with over 200 guests in attendance. 

“The Beacon of Excellence celebrates community leaders from all over Monmouth County. This impressive list of honorees represents business, government, and non-profits that all have great impact on our communities. We’re very fortunate to have these hard-working folks in Monmouth County,” said MRCC Executive Director David M. Salkin.

MRCC President Bernice Lopez added, “The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce takes pride in our association with these outstanding individuals. We’re invested in the communities we serve, and when we see leaders in our communities making such a positive impact, we want to recognize and celebrate that.”

The event began with a cocktail hour featuring an open bar and offering a wide variety of delicious bites.

After guests were seated in the main ballroom there was a warm welcome by the Executive Director of the MRCC; David M. Salkin.

Next was the Pledge of Allegiance and the dinner buffet opened. Introductions were given by MRCC President, Bernice Lopez. 

The recognition of Sponsors and Committee was delivered by Co-Chairs Sherilyn Przelominski and Tara Demyanovich. 

The list of honorees for 2019 are:

Beacon of Hope - Hazlet’s Hope Network, honored for being a non-profit providing outstanding and exceptional outreach to the community with a promise of hope and vision for the future. 

Beacon of Light - New Jersey American Water-a business whose accomplishments demonstrate superior public services and are a source of light and inspiration to the community. 

Non-profit Organization - RAINE Foundation-an organization exhibiting outstanding achievement and a reputation for excellence in the non-profit sector. 

Business Ambassador - Dr. David Stout, Brookdale Community College- Individual demonstrating exemplary commitment, leadership and engagement within the business community. 

Corporate Good Neighbor - Holly Schult, BCB Bank Bayshore- Business organization who has made an extraordinary impact on the Monmouth County area through exceptional civic engagement. 

President’s Award - Cliff Moore, Economic Development Consulting Services-special recognition given to an individual, business or non-profit by the Chamber President for significant contributions and achievement. 

Public Servant - Freeholder Director Tom Arnone - Individual who is distinguished by their dedication and outstanding commitment in support of public service. 

Businesswoman Leadership - DonnaLyn Giegerich, CEO DLG Consulting-Businesswoman who has exhibited exceptional leadership and widely recognized achievement , and who has contributed to the achievement of others. 

Young Professional - Danielle Bagdzinski, CG Tax, Audit & Advisory-young professional under the age of 40 who has made a significant impact and has shown leadership in guiding the next generation of business professionals.
