HOLMDEL, NJ - Holmdel Wrestling has a long and storied history in town. The ancient sport has been part of the school culture for decades with both coaches, wrestlers and their families dedicated to its challenges and life changing opportunities.

Now, Holmdel has another reason to celebrate its success as Holmdel High School Coach Danny Franke Reaches 100 Career Wins. This major milestone was an early New Year's gift that was earned by the entire team, their families and supporters. The team shares with TAPinto Holmdel the story of Danny Franke.

Danny Franke began his high school wrestling coaching career in the 2011/ 2012 school year. He began his career with a small team that had single digit wins during his first 3 years. During those first few years he was team building. He was driven to establish a culture of hard work, determination, and pride.

Today, those first few team building years have clearly paid off.

On December 18, 2018 Coach Franke received his 100th career win in a home match against Donovan Catholic. Surrounded by his team, family, wrestling alumni, and youth program Coach Franke accepted a plaque acknowledging this milestone.

Since Coach Franke began his career at Holmdel High School his team has collected many firsts! His team broke the school record for wins in a season three years in a row (2016 -18, 2017-19, 2018-27).
