Hopatcong High School: Show Stopper

Last night, Hopatcong High School held their 8th Grade Orientation to the high school. The Auditorium was packed with parents and students who were eager to learn about the Hopatcong experience. Current Hopatcong students were present to entice 8th grade students to choose Hopatcong High School for their secondary education. 

The events of the program were driven by current high school students where the marching band, cheerleaders, drama club, extra-curricular clubs, etc. They pulled out all the stops to give an accurate and realistic snapshot of the energy at the high school.  Alumni were invited to attend and shared their positive and memorable experiences at Hopatcong.

New course offerings and the School-Within-A-School were introduced. Current athletic programs and extra-curricular activities were mentioned.

The culminating speech came from the Superintendent of Schools, Cynthia Randina, who asked one question: “Why would you choose to go somewhere else?”  Hopatcong has the academics, the athletics, the activities, the arts, the technology, and the family atmosphere found nowhere else. Her message was clear, be a part of the “New Hopatcong”.
